The scent of fresh baguettes, sourdough, focaccia, danishes, muffins, hand pies and specialty cakes are wafting through the air now that Knead, a new bakery concept at the base of Symphony Towers has opened! University Club General Manager Brian Lee has teamed up with his former associate, Adrian Mendoza, a longtime San Diego pastry chef, to bring this mouthwatering bakery to life. Mendoza, who manages his first, entire kitchen at Knead, has worked at Wayfarer Bread & Pastry, Herringbone, Herb & Wood and Searsucker. Come break bread and give him a warm welcome.
