2026 MGA #1 - Winter Scramble
2026 Men's Golf Association (MGA) - Event #1 - Winter Scramble Over the course of 2025 Granite Bay Golf Club has been conducting a trial of events for a Men's Golf Association. Part of that trial was finding best times, days of the week, formats, cash buy-ins, etc... that worked but also advertising for the formation of the 2026 MGA. This January 22nd, a Thursday, the first event of the 2026 calendar takes place. January's event is a 2-man scramble starting in a 12:30 shotgun start. Cash buy in is $100 per person with portions of that going to overall winners and skins. We are allowing Members to make their team up of a Member/Member pairing or a Member and a guest. Guests participating will have regular guest fees apply. Same with all of the MGA events this year there is no event fee with Membership to the MGA ($100 annually, will be charged in February 2026) and regular cart fees would apply for each of the events. There is no 10 shot max between partners for this event, we are using 35%/15% handicaps for the low and high player, playing 18 holes from the Granite Tees with the Club Tees also an option for players. Scoring in Tilly's following play AND this will act as the first points event for the 2026 season. We have a season long points race in store with prizes and trophy for the MGA Champion. The Warrior Tournament is our annual “major,” known for competitive play, great camaraderie, and more often than not beautiful winter golf weather. You’ve probably seen the Warrior Trophy proudly displayed at Tilly’s. Sign up, compete, and see if your name is the next one engraved. All flight winners immediately qualify for the 2026 Tournament of Champions. Event Details • Dates: January 24–25, 2026 • Format: 2-Person Best Ball • Flights: Men’s & Women’s • Scoring: Gross & Net (handicapped) awards • Entry Fee: $150 per player Schedule of Events Saturday, January 24 • Registration: 8:00 – 9:30 a.m. • Round 1: Shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, January 25 • Round 2: Shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. • Scoring & Lunch: 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. • Awards Ceremony: Immediately following conclusion of play What’s Included • Tee prizes • Cart fees • Lunch both days • Tournament scoring & awards All included with your entry fee.
